Mark Poss graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Finance and a minor in Art History. He attended the Graduate School of Art History at the University of Texas with an emphasis on Landscape Art. When not of a specific site, Poss’ paintings are melding of real and imagined locales and the artistic influences: Inness, Corot and 17th century Dutch landscape paintings. The abstracts are based on experimentation; typically of no particular subject matter. Mark Poss is the Director of Promotional Design at Fortessa, a leading tableware company located outside of Washington, D.C.
