
Douglas Cooper is an American artist who focuses on large panoramic murals of cities in the USA and abroad. He is known for his 120-foot long mural which is now a permanent installation at the Senator John Heinz Regional History Center in Pittsburgh that gained acclaim throughout the city with a featuring documentary on WQED TV. Cooper is a professor of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University, and has authored two books on drawing: Steel Shadows (University of Pittsburgh) and Drawing and Perceiving (Wiley).
