"Think of architecture, and your next thought might be engineering, but in truth, engineering makes up only one part of the world of architecture. Another big part of architecture is art.

Just think back in history. Many of the world's greatest artists also were architects -- Giotto di Bondone, Filippo Brunelleschi and Leonardo Da Vinci, to name a few -- but in truth, the list could go on and on.

So it is that two of Pittsburgh's most esteemed architects, Syl Damianos, 75, and Ray Gindroz, 68, have taken to making art in their later years.
